The Project

Boldness and a pioneering spirit mark this project which enables the first training course in Biodynamic Agriculture held virtually in Brazil, that is, by DL (Distance Learning). Initially planned to take place in person in the state of Pernambuco, the digitalization of the project made it possible to offer it throughout the country and even abroad. The idea arose a few years ago due to the unavailability of biodynamic foods for the Pernambuco and Northeastern consumer, in general, at the same time that there was a clear repressed demand in this market for these products. From the scenario of social isolation, the opportunity for DL emerged. In this way, the course became more accessible and the strategy of artistic experiences was updated and divided into theoretical and practical modules. In addition, the proposal for the creation and maintenance of a biodynamic productive garden at the Waldorf Aquarela school and the first Pedagogical Reference Space in Biodynamic Agriculture in the Northeast, both located in Aldeia, Pernambuco, was included. Finally, the project also provides for the availability of biodynamic foods that are produced in new agricultural spaces in the Northeast, including family producers and small self-sustainable productions.

Objectives

– During the course of the project, a Biodynamics Group was created which, together with the Waldorf Aquarela School, promoted the feasibility of the Biodynamic Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) of Pernambuco and the Pedagogical Reference Space in Biodynamic Agriculture.

– A new partnership with the Association Logos Therapy was made possible for the development of work that brings together Biodynamic Agriculture and Health from an anthroposophic perspective, to the metropolitan region of Recife.

– The performance in social networks and the spontaneous insertion of new agricultural “influencers”, expanded the visibility of biodynamics, generating great interest in the topic.

– The training achieved visibility in Latin America, opening doors for its expansion beyond national borders.

– Collection and storage of seeds from different regions of the country, enabling their multiplication among farmers and schools.
