in the state of Rio de Janeiro, comprising about 40 neighborhoods in an area of approximately 52 km\u00b2. It is one of the most populous areas in the city, with over 40,000 residents, and is responsible for a significant portion of the local economy. Within this district is a housing complex, Condom\u00ednio Terra Nova, home to around 10,000 residents, including some affected by the socio-environmental disaster of 2011.
