For the third time since September 2023, several municipalities in the Taquari Valley, RS, are facing the consequences of climate change, with extremely high water levels flowing down the Taquari River. Numerous families have been displaced to shelters where they receive emergency humanitarian assistance. Many children in these shelters are emotionally and psychologically affected.
The Project
In response to the devastating reality faced by the children, the project has been implementing integrative actions for those living in the municipalities of Taquari and Bom Retiro. Activities are planned to promote education about climate change in a playful manner, including watercolor drawing, storytelling, music, theater, rhythms, poetry, tree planting, and workshops on organic and dry waste.
The Impact
