The Challenge

Research in the field of healthcare, specifically related to Anthroposophy, remains scarce and underpublicized. To increase visibility and strengthen the Anthroposophic movement in this area, it is essential for more physicians and therapists to become interested in investigating what they have observed and formulated in their private practices. Breaking down the existing barriers between traditional medicine/therapy and so-called ‘alternative’ approaches is crucial not only to legitimize these alternative forms of knowledge but also to ensure that more people have access to them.

The Project

The project aims to continue therapeutic studies in the field of music with pediatric patients hospitalized at the University Hospital of the University of São Paulo. This study will conduct a musical intervention using the Kântele and Lyre instruments, incorporating rhythms of the year, poems, and biographies of humanity.

The Impact

  • Effective contribution to the treatment of children hospitalized due to illness.
  • Humanization of the hospital environment, both for the patients being treated and their caregivers.
  • Writing and publishing a scientific article aimed at contributing to the validation of some of the benefits of Integrative Medicine and Anthroposophic Practices, providing scientific evidence for the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS).
