In recent years, Jardim Boa Vista, a neighborhood located in the Raposo Tavares region, a peripheral area bordering the city of São Paulo, has experienced disproportionate and chaotic growth due to the arrival of new popular housing developments. The influx of new families, combined with those already living there, has led to a significant increase in demand for public facilities for leisure, culture, and sports for all age groups, including adults, while the neighborhood continues to offer the same limited resources.
The Project
ACOMI, an institution linked to Colégio Micael in São Paulo, is one of the few free spaces for education, culture, and leisure in the region, serving the community since its foundation in 2000. The extracurricular activities developed by the institution, along with those of public bodies, aim to contribute to the formation of individuals who can act responsibly and respect the environment and the social context in which they live.
