The Challenge

Professionals without training in Waldorf Pedagogy, Social Therapy, and related areas working in anthroposophical schools/institutions remain a reality in the country. The increase in the number of Waldorf schools over the past 10 years (from 118 to 263) has worsened this situation, especially in regions far from the Training Centers. Since this is a non-traditional pedagogical and therapeutic approach

, the training of professionals becomes an indispensable condition for carrying out consistent and well-founded work. A significant barrier to training is its cost, as most students must travel and stay for several days in the city where the Training Center is located, resulting in a high final cost for those already receiving a salary well below the ideal.

The Project

Given this scenario of exponential growth of new schools/institutions, it is essential to have qualified professionals grounded in this philosophical-spiritual conception. Financial support through scholarships is the only viable path for many of these professionals to receive training. The FUB, a project that has supported students from all over the country for 15 years, opens applications once a year through its website. To apply for the scholarship (for free courses and postgraduate programs based on anthroposophy), the applicant must be affiliated with an anthroposophical institution, whether a school, a therapeutic institution, or a Training Center.

The Impact

  • Financial support for the training of 115 students in anthroposophical courses through scholarships
  • Access for students in socioeconomically vulnerable situations to training in Waldorf Pedagogy and related areas, including Black and Indigenous individuals
  • Improvement of pedagogical/therapeutic quality in schools and therapeutic institutions across the country
